As you'd expect joining the crew of a traditional sailing ship isn't a walk in the park - you may be required to work under extreme conditions, with blisters on your hands, aching limbs and having had little sleep. Although what could be better at the end of the day (whilst your friends and colleagues at home are finishing their days at the pub or on the sofa) but lying in the ship's rigging, watching the sunset as you sail off towards into the horizon!

For each of its legs The Swedish Sailing Ship Götheborg also recruits a blogger, photographer and videographer. Those interested can apply to join the ship's crew in one of these positions; if successful their trip will be free on the condition that their time on-board is dedicated to documenting the trip.
